David Bullock

David is an experienced civil litigator who has led cases at all levels of New Zealand’s senior courts. He also appears in domestic and international arbitrations, mediations, and in some Pacific jurisdictions.
David’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation and public law. He has particular expertise in company and contractual disputes, tort claims, judicial review and regulatory litigation, appellate advocacy, and sports law.
David holds a Master of Laws from Yale Law School, where he was a Fulbright Scholar, and a Doctor of Juridical Science from the University of Toronto as a Vanier Scholar. He is internationally recognised for his research on the tort of nuisance and its interface with climate change, and regularly publishes and presents on topics including constitutional law and civil procedure.
